Jake Jackson is one of the most exciting talents to emerge in recent years within the film scoring genre.
With nearly 15 years experience based at the world renowned AIR Studios he has become an excellent orchestral/band recording and mix engineer who has worked on many projects that have won Oscars, Grammys, BRITS and Golden Globes.
In Febuary 2011 Jake won the ‘Breakthrough Engineer’ category in the MPG awards.
Jake's technical knowledge and his ability to understand how to achieve the best results with both small and large groups of musicians means he can tackle any project you throw at him, always working with the calm, assured manner, and technical excellence he has become known for.
He has recorded and mixed at all of London’s top studios, including AIR, Abbey Road, Angel, AIR-Edel and Strongroom.
Encompassing all recording genres, his recent work includes the ‘National Anthems for the 2012 Olympic Games’, ‘Spitfire Audio Sample Library’, ‘Dragons Treasure’ an incredible dome show at the City of Dreams in Macau China, Tim Burton’s musical ‘Sweeney Todd’, and Nick Cave & Warren Ellis’s scores for ‘The Road’ ‘The Assassination of Jesse James’ and ‘The Proposition’.
Smaller Films have included the scores to ‘Submarine’ ‘The Devil’s Double’ ‘Jump’ ‘Albatross’ ‘Toast’
For Television he has been the engineer and or mixed the music for Doctor Who, Silent Witness, Being Human, Toast, Sparticles and Bouquet of Barbed Wire
Other projects include films with Klaus Badelt, Ruth Barrett, Marc Canham, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Patrick Doyle, George Fenton, Ben Foster, Murray Gold, Christian Henson, Martin Phipps, Trevor Rabin, Eric Serra, Phillip Sheppard, Ben Wallfisch and Richard Wells.
